Cytology - The Basic Cell
in preparation |
Page
Contents
-
The pages use pop-up windows and javacsript .
Make sure that they
are not disabled in your browser if you want to use functions which need
them .
Each page begins with a table of contents which lists the topics, lab guides and images contained in the page.
-
Next is the Additional
Resources section, which lists ... well ... additional resources
which are available on this site and which are relevant to the page content. This
section allows the opening of multiple browser windows, which is nice if you like
to use multiple resources concurrently and which also is an excellent chance to
completely clutter your desktop - be tidy ... at least try.
-
Individual lab sections begin with a short
list of Suitable Slides
and stains. One or more of them should be available in teaching slide
collections. I have only included slides that I have looked at - other
sections and/or stains may be available in the collection that you
can access.
Some
images are tagged with a yellow dog ear in their upper right corner.
When you "click" these images you should see
an alternate image of the tissue - either different labels or a different
stain or different details.
-
Occasionally you will find this icon
in the text:
It
links to an electron microscopic picture of the features mentioned in the
text.
-
How good the images will look like may depend on your display.
Does it need
to be adjusted?
-
A few pages still need some
brushing up ...
